After a study of art forms primarily focusing on Printmaking, Photography and
Lifedrawing I specialised in Jewellery Design, gaining a B.A. Hons degree from Middlesex University.
In recent years I have returned to the two dimensional formats which had originally fired my creative imagination.
The human form is the preferred image but an eye for the interesting and occasionally quirky elements find their way into my style of work, be it representational or abstract.
A variety of printmaking mediums ia applied in order to capture the human form often juxtaposed with manmade scenes surrounded by the beauty of nature.
The use of colour can introduce a vibrant and playful element and also evoke a feeling or mood which is as individual as the person viewing it.
Photography is used in much the same way as sketching.
To collate information in a creative way as a starting point or at times it becomes the dominating medium of the process.
Colour is then used to introduce a vibrant and playful element to what sometimes can be a somber image.
