About the Artist
‘I use elements of landscape and man’s marks on it to form images that mirror my reactions to it. I am constantly looking for different ways to express this’.
Originally inspired by Brutalist architecture of famous London landmarks, a multitude of images have been brought together to impart the surfaces, textures and angles experienced when observing such buildings.
The Barbican series imparts the sense of solitude that often accompanies exploring the walkways, stairwells and corridors of this space. Buildings surround the viewer and a multitude of viewpoints distorts the sense of space and convey a sense of unease.
