About the Artist
Louise Anderson is a project based artist and educator. Specialising in printmaking and photography, using archival and found materials to develop ideas developing and forming new narratives. The creative practice involves unearthing forgotten social histories, researching lost archives reviewing text, photographs and oral histories exploring overlooked stories.
In my recent solo show, Surbiton Lagoon, A Splash in Time, this was a curated archive of printmaking, vintage swimwear, and video and oral histories. The aim of this body of work was to convey a sense of community Surbiton Lagoon encompassed. Referencing the role that The CORNERHouse Arts Centre provides to the surrounding areas
