About the Artist
Michaela Wheater is an artist and educator living and working in London.
“My work is primarily concerned with the passage of time. The notion of fragility, tangible traces of the past and of fleeting moments captured as memory.
Work comprises of a number of open series’ that seek to examine these concepts.
The ‘Doll: Lost and Found’ series explores human involvement with and traces left upon these artifacts. Through the process of making these prints the parts and then later, complete dolls have become powerful metaphors for ourselves: Our relationships and experiences”.
