About the Artist
A painter and printmaker, I often find my painting feeds into my printmaking and vice versa. Personal, cultural or historical subjects are usually the inspiration for my work. I use my drawings, life studies or photographs as a starting point and, by distorting or deconstructing images and working into the plate, I try to create an interesting ambiguity in the final piece. I love diversity and enjoy experimenting with different techniques and styles. When exhibiting, I often show my paintings and prints together along thematic lines.
I trained at the University of Surrey, Roehampton, where I studied for a degree in public art, specialising in painting and printmaking, graduating with BA (Hons) 1st Class in 2002. I then studied graphic and experimental printmaking for two years at the London College of Communication, part of the University of the Arts.
I show regularly at group and solo exhibitions throughout London and in Europe.
