About the Artist
Bear Print Design is the pseudonym used by wildlife printmaker and illustrator Jo Wright. After graduating from Manchester Polytechnic in 1988, Jo earned a living as a children’s book illustrator before working as a writer and designer of environmental interpretation. She fell into printmaking in 2010 following a road trip to Canada. The wildlife, scenery and in particular, the black bears caught her imagination and inspired her first lino print. Since that time, Jo has built her portfolio and is now producing work in relief print, screen and etching and also teaching Lino print classes.
