About the Artist
I am inspired by the way architecture mirrors the culture, character and soul of the human. Through years of travel in the Britain and abroad, I have developed a fascination for the details that tell the story of a building. Humans create structures in which to shelter, rest, love, eat, work and worship and these spaces hold the spirit of the lives that have been led within their boundaries. In my work, I use buildings to reflect the human condition, the houses differ in shape, size, detail and colour. They have a soul and a personality and through the stance and clustering of the buildings, the images represent the thoughts and situations present in the human experience. I have been a Printmaker since I was a child and having trained as a Ceramicist and Metal worker, I returned to Printmaking to create work using Lithography, Etching, Collagraph and Relief techniques.
