About the Artist
A London-based artist, Jane works across a wide range of media, including drawing, painting, printmaking and animation. She is also a member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art.
Jane’s latest series of work is about the joy and excitement of connecting with the natural environment within an urban setting. Her inspiration comes from tending an allotment in SW19, cycling along the Wandle and other tributaries of the Thames, walking through London’s green lungs and watching the animals that visit these spaces. Measuring 50 x 70 cm, these monoprints on paper start life as cyanotypes, which she then develops from the original blue through toning with botanicals, hand painting and relief printing.
