About the Artist
Kate works from her studio at home in North London. Having previously explored etching, mezzotint and drypoint printing techniques, she now works exclusively with linocut. She enjoys the physical and tactile aspect of producing a relief print. Kate is attracted to the graphic aspect of printmaking and the infinite variety of ways in which it can be used to create a visual image. Printmaking allows her to explore her love of nature and to provide an outlet for her quirky sense of humour – her prints often poke a little bit of fun at life and will hopefully raise a smile in the viewer!
