About the Artist
Kit’s prints explore our relationship with landscape and our place in nature. Many images fall between the pastoral and the surreal.
He follows the British romantic tradition with reference to Samuel Palmer and the neo-romantic artists of the 1940s. Recent commissions have included historic monasteries for English Heritage, 6 station posters for the Darent Valley Community Rail Partnership including Shoreham (a homage to Samuel Palmer), and a book cover for The Man Who Planted Trees by Jean Giono for Penguin Random House.
Most of his etchings follow on from an original colour painting or drawing. Hand-coloured versions of some etchings are also available.
He shows his prints in London with Greenwich Printmakers and is represented by print dealer Elizabeth Harvey-Lee at the London Original Print Fair and the Works on Paper Fair. He is represented by galleries across the UK including Pallant House Gallery Bookshop.
Kit works from his studio at Art Hub next to the Thames Barrier and is also a member of East London Printmakers.
