About the Artist
Kit’s prints explore our relationship with landscape and our place in nature, ecologically, spiritually and emotionally. Many images fall between the pastoral and the surreal.
He follows the British romantic tradition with reference to Samuel Palmer and the neo-romantic artists of the 1940s.
Green men appear quite often in his work, often being born from stems and trunks in dense foliage.
Most of his etchings follow on from an original colour painting or drawing. Hand-coloured versions of some etchings are also available.
He shows his etchings in London with Greenwich Printmakers and is represented by print dealer Elizabeth Harvey-Lee at the London Original Print Fair and the Works on Paper Fair. He shows at the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea and Hampstead.
Kit works from his studio at Art Hub next to the Thames Barrier and is also a member of East London Printmakers.
