About the Artist
Examining memory and the seen, my work is concerned with containment, holding, hiding and revealing, often using still life as a starting point to explore these concerns. Working across print, paint and paper, the use of differing methods and materials offers a variety of pathways to explore, with drawing being the connector between them all.
I work as sustainably as possible using non-toxic inks, recycled materials as matrixes, natural linseed oil based lino and even the paper I print on, collected from various print studios willing to give me their offcuts!
As an art educator I run drawing and printmaking workshops; am a member of the Artist Network initiative at the Royal West of England Academy, Southbank Printmakers and Zea Mays Print Studio, as well as here with the Printmakers Council. I’ve been awarded artist residencies at Cill Rialaig, Ireland, JOYA:Air, Spain and Zea Mays Print Studio, USA
