About the Artist
Milena Michalski’s printmaking is interwoven with her wider visual arts practice. In her recent works, she transforms images created through alternative photographic processes into series and installations, using photogravure and etching. Milena’s work focuses on themes of perception, particularly with regard to specific sites, architecture or moments. She combines research-based knowledge with experimental methods.
Milena is Artist in Residence at King’s College London. She was awarded the Analogue Photography Grant in 2020 by The Richard and Siobhan Coward Foundation, the London Creative Network (LCN) / ERDF/ Photofusion 2021 Programme award and is the recipient of a 2021 Arts Council England DYCP award.
