About the Artist
Tania Beaumont paints, prints and draws using all media oils and watercolours, etchings, drypoint engravings and block prints. She has amassed an interesting collection of old/foreign handwritten ephemera and uses these papers as collage, with painting and print. She also creates her own ‘graffiti’ monotype papers for the same purpose.
Tania trained at J.J. School of Art Bombay, Liverpool College of Art and Goldsmith’s College University of London, and having lived as an expatriate for the majority of her life she has exhibited worldwide. She has a visual database of memories and images which she incorporates into her work – juxtaposing these images with experimental abstract surfaces, to produce layered ‘documents’ with narrative and ambiguity.
