Mokulito Lithography on wood – Demonstration

Demonstration by Caroline Whitehead

Sun 22nd Nov 2 – 4pm

Caroline will demonstrate the process of Mokulito lithography, a lithographic process that uses a wooden plate instead of the traditional stone or metal. Originating in Japan in the 1970s, this technique can produce beautiful subtle veils of colour. Visitors will be able to both observe and try aspects of the technique for themselves.

Caroline studied Fine Art at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, University of Oxford and also has an MA in Sequential Design from the University of Brighton. A professional printmaker, Caroline has led workshops for the British Library and authored and illustrated many children’s books under the name Caroline Glicksman.
