A walking trail of artists’ studios in the university area of Reading
I will be exhibiting a new series of lino prints and ceramics that work together to create a dynamic visual interaction between disciplines. The ceramics are made in collaboration with local potter David Pope whom I have been working with since 2012.
I have recently been documenting areas of interest around Reading through photographs and drawings. I’m interested in the history of Reading: the architecture, the dynamic crowds of people and the chaotic under belly of a town mid construction. I make intuitive drawings that authentically record the atmosphere of an environment and this vigorous looking is intrinsic to the development of final work. Previous work has included lino prints of the Dorset landscape and a collection of ceramics and lino prints of the Mediterranean island of Ischia.
