Elisa Dublanc – Winner of the Sheila Sloss Award

Steve Mumberson “We reviewed the largest amount of student work presented for the Shelia Sloss Award this year; there were a few students we gave commendation to but it was Elisa Dublanc prints that both Angela Brookes and myself immediately agreed on. The prints were very accomplished works, technically,  and well presented.  They had  consistent ideas and a developed subject. Technically simple approach but carried out with care and attention, not shown among the larger group. Elisa clearly had experience of presenting work and the technical ability to achieve her ideas through printmaking. On later discussion with the Printmaking Professor Jo Stockham we discovered that she had been a major force in organising shows outside of the RCA and had work consistently well as a student, which reinforced our decision.”
