Our choice for the Sheila Sloss Award. Euan’s main work focussed on printed linocut on the fold of deeply folded paper which was then corrugated through a press, and encompassed strips of printed paper woven into the structure, thus making the prints three dimensional.
We enjoyed his use of a close pastel colour tone, the free form shapes, his use of conventional linocut, and the transformation from 2D to 3D. (Printed Objects)
Added to this he also exhibited a print from a complex and technically challenging 3 dimensional etched plate, which was printed on to plaster. One again making a 3D wall sculpture which was folded out in two halves and displayed as one free standing printed object.
