Glynis is a printmaker based in West London. Her work incorporates both traditional print methods and experimental mixed media, focusing on self-portraiture and identity.
After studying at St Martin’s School of Art, and gaining an MA at Brighton University, Glynis worked in illustration and design, and now, predominantly, as a printmaker.
She explores working with different print processes, to create depth and atmosphere through layers, working with colours and contrasts in her images and an appreciation of shapes and lines.
She has taught printmaking, papermaking, illustration and painting for over 30 years, and has always enjoyed producing her own work through screen printing and relief prints.
From the deep contemplative study of self-portraiture, to the playful and atmospheric energy of nature, her subjects are a personal exploration of life.
